Performance & Leadership Coaching

Gain an understanding of how to create a positive environment and how to develop high performing teams.

We offer performance and leadership coaching programmes to leaders across education and health and care. Most leaders don’t have the opportunity to receive supportive challenge in their pressured and complex roles.

Working with a coach can provide this challenge and through a process of distilling your personal goals and linking with your professional role, you can improve your leadership style and capability. Our coaches understand your work context and therefore can support you in just the way you need.

Clients report that they are:

  • Better able to reflect on their practice and have a better understanding about how to lead and succeed during times of change.

  • Able to focus on their role within your organisation and the behaviours that they can develop in order to better contribute to a successful organisation.

  • More confident of their leadership style and can harness a wider range of techniques to accommodate a variety of audiences and situations.

  • More solution focussed for activities that they should be able to take on in their respective roles.

‘I have found my coaching sessions with Kate to be extremely beneficial. Having the support and advice from someone as professional, friendly and encouraging as Kate, has been a tremendous support as I have entered into the new role as Head of school. Kate has helped me process my thoughts and feelings and at times, has challenged me, which I believe has helped me to become more confident and effective in my new role.’

‘I'd like to wholeheartedly thank Kate East for the coaching I have received. This has truly supported me to further develop in my leadership role as a result of her highly effective style and method.’

‘My coaching sessions have been critical in my development as a leader within the Trust. It has allowed me to learn about my management style, looking at what works well and exploring ways to further improve my practice. Kate has been supportive through the sessions but has pushed me out of my comfort zone to change aspects of my practice and approach, in order to become more strategic and less reactive.’

‘Thank you Kate for your support! You have helped me to look at my role from a different angle and as a result I feel I have become a more 'rounded' leader of my school. In addition, you have challenged my thinking when appropriate but always in a safe and supportive manner. Overall, I would highly recommend.’

How we work.

A range of coaching and psychological approaches and techniques will be adopted. These include: GROW coaching model, positive psychology, the choice point (from ACT), CBT and other psychological approaches.

None of the sessions are ‘done to you’ all of it is ‘done with you’. The style of coaching will be mainly non-directive although there will be some challenge in order to move thinking forward and to achieve ambitions and performance. It is important to note that this is coaching not therapy or counselling. This will all be explained during the introductory session with the coach.

Programmes can be designed on an individual client basis or as an organisational offer. Our coaches are not only experienced leaders in their field having held successful senior leadership roles but also Chartered Psychologists and members of the British Psychological Society(BPS).
